Why is it that some people when they heard of a young mother they are shock. Especially, when they knew that it is only at the age of 14 for the young mother to be pregnant, some people reacted in an instant and say some words like "WHAT or OHHH! Others are commenting with some bad words for the young mother as, like a flirt, drug addict, black sheep, and no parents guiding them. All of them are jumping into conclusion even though they do not know the story of younger mothers. At the age of 14 being mother is really hard to accept especially to the parents of the young mother but as parents this is the time to be open-minded and understanding, be patience to your daughter because being mother at an early age is not a joke and not just a little problem, this is the time when your daughters need a lot of your supports especially emotional.

I would respond with shock if I heard of a 14 year old I knew who was going to have a baby. Just out of concern for her future. Having a baby would be very stressful at that age I'm sure.

ReplyDeleteI hate when the first thought is to think that the child had bad parents for letting the pregnancy happen. Do we feel like this about the young father as well?
ReplyDeleteIt really bothers me when a young pregnant child is shown as bad parenting. Do we see the young father the same way? No usually as an accident.
